The italian government has decided to reintroduce controls at Italy's border with Slovenia from Saturday October 21 due to the "intensification of crisis hotbeds on Europe's borders.

It said border controls would last until December, 9th, and "will be implemented in a way that ensures the proportionality" and "adapted" to the level of the "threat" and "calibrated to cause the least possible impact on cross-border movement and freight traffic.
