The climate of Udine is predominantly continental, with enough
elevated temperatures in summer and relatively rigid in winter, but
with smaller continental climate in comparison to the cities of the
lowland central and western Padana.
The winter is the least rainy season, while in summer they are
frequent the stormy phenomena, also accompanied by strong
hailstorms. It results to be the city chief town of rainier
province of Italy.
