    Following the selection procedures, 10 experienced researchers were awarded respectively 10 mobility fellowships envisaged by the Programme.

     

    Incoming mobility scheme:

    Scientific area "Ecology, Environment and Energy":
    - a Canadian researcher is developing a project at the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS) of Trieste, on climate change and the Antarctic Ice Sheet;

    Scientific area "Biotechnologies and Diagnostics":
    - after several years abroad, an Italian researcher had the possibility to come back to Italy, hosted at the National Cancer Institute of Aviano (CRO), in order to study the development of cancer cells;
    - an Egyptian researcher will develop a research project on a peculiar typology of proteins at the Cluster in Biomedicine (CBM);

    Scientific area "Material technologies, Mechanics, Physics and Chemistry":
    - after many years spent abroad, another Italian researcher came back to Italy to study theranostic nanoagents, important in the therapeutical efficacy of treatments at the University of Udine;
    - a Chinese researcher coming from France will spend his mobility fellowship at the University of Udine studying selective ruthenium catalysts, useful in selective organic transformations involving hydrogen.

     

    Outgoing mobility scheme:

    Scientific area "Biotechnologies and Diagnostics":
    - a researcher from the Institute for Maternal and Child Health (IRCCS) Burlo Garofolo of Trieste is in Brasil, at the Istituto de Medicina Integral Prof. Fernando Figueira of Recife, to study the treatment of HIV affected patients;
    - a researcher from the University of Udine is currently at the University of Bergen
    to study the development of a very aggressive typology of cancer;

    Scientific area "Material technologies, Mechanics, Physics and Chemistry":
    - a researcher from the University of Trieste is developing her project on renewable energies at the University of California Santa Barbara;
    - a researcher from ELETTRA Synchrotron Light Laboratory will study the assembly of an end station for the new ultra‐fast laser based Photoemission Spectroscopy facility of the University of Nova Gorica;

    Scientific area "Ecology, Environment and Energy":
    - a researcher from the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) is studying the magmatic systems active at populated volcanoes and geothermal fields.
